ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Quality Assurance International (QAI), a leading provider of organic certification services, introduced a new pricing model to encourage organic certification among small and mid-sized businesses. The new pricing structure is designed to be flexible to accommodate every stage of a growing business – establishing an affordable percentage-of-sales pricing model for smaller operations and a flat-rate pricing model that’s more advantageous and cost-effective for larger operations.
“The new price structure allows your organic certification to grow with your business,” said Tracy Favre, Director of QAI. “The percentage-of-sales cost structure removes a significant barrier to entry and enables small businesses to obtain organic certification. As the operation grows and a revenue threshold is met, the flat-rate pricing model helps keep costs reasonable.”
Established in 1989, QAI provides independent, third-party organic certification at every stage from farm to fork. QAI now certifies to the USDA National Organic Program (NOP), Mexico Organics Product Law Standard (LPO), Canadian Organic Regime (COR), Quebec Organic Reference Standards, European Union Organic Regulation (EU No 1169/2011), NSF/ANSI 305: Organic Personal Care Products and QAI’s Certified Transitional program.
In addition to organic certification, QAI also offers gluten-free, kosher, social reasonability and food safety certifications through its parent company NSF International.
